A new specialty of Setouchi has been born, packed with the charm of Yamaguchi Prefecture.

We have created a salt candy that is gentle and easy to eat, with a focus on the balance of sweetness and saltiness.

This salt candy has a new sensation, with sweetness and saltiness alternating in your mouth like waves that come and go.

We use natural materials as much as possible, that are gentle on the body. These candies are recommended not only for family outings, but also for when you are taking a break from work.

Characteristics of the four flavors

Ryujin salt

This is a simple salt candy made with “Ryujin salt” from Suo-Oshima Island, located in the Seto Inland Sea in eastern Yamaguchi Prefecture. The only ingredients are starch syrup, salt, and sugar. The subtle salty taste brings out the elegant sweetness of starch syrup, resulting in a salted candy that has a refreshing taste.

Honey × Ryujin salt

This amber-colored salt candy is infused with delicious honey from Fukumitsu Bee Farm in Hirao-cho, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The elegant sweetness of starch syrup and the gorgeous aroma of honey are complemented by a subtle salty taste that fills your mouth with happiness.

Ono green tea × Ryujin Salt

This dark jade-colored salt candy is made with a generous amount of Ono tea grown by Yamaguchi Chagyo in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The refined sweetness of starch syrup is combined with the astringency of green tea to create a salty candy with a rich, mellow salty taste. It’s a little salt candy for adults.

Pear × Ryujin salt

Pear jam is made with pears harvested from a 100-year-old pear tree grown on Nishimura Farm in Akiyoshi-cho, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and wrapped in salted candy. While enjoying the pear flavor a subtle saltiness emerges little by little, your mouth will be filled with the reward of pear jam before you know it. Salt candy is very popular with children.
